I was wathing the Falcons/Saints play last night, and there was alot of buzz about the Saints future.

Since Katrina, the Saints have set up a home base in San Antonio. This has been a problem at the Alamo Dome do to conflicting event schedules that makes practice a huge hassle. There was an undertone that San Antonio is a bit put upon by the Saints at this time.

With only around 50% of New Orleans population returning to the city, it is in question as to whether the Saints will actual stay in NO. The Superdome is under construction, and the training facility that is currently under FEMA control has been well maintained and fixed up during the occupation.

Will this all be for naught? No one is giving out any clues yet to what will happen.....

A report is expected to be given in January (after Superbowl) as to the future of the Saints.

They won't be coming to San Antonio--that's for sure.
The Alamodome would need some major upgrades and the bottom line is that San Antonio is a small televsion market--something like 34th, even though it ranks 8th on the population range in the US.

Further, the owners of the Cowboys and Texans just ain't gonna allow a third team in Texas that would fragment the fan base.

My guess is Los Angeles unless they stay in New Orleans.
