I just got back from the gunshop, I put a CZ-85 on layaway, It's only gonna take 2 payments, but due to Florida's 3 day waiting period, I won't have it for a week and a half, Oh well, I hope it will be worth the wait.

After taxes and everything it came to just under $500.00, but it comes with a box of ammo and 2 hrs range time, so I guess I got a good deal

I decided to go ahead and get it when I looked up NC's gun laws and found that while they are no worse about owning handguns, they are worse about buying them, they make you get a permit to buy a handgun from a dealer for every handgun you buy, so I figured I'd get one before going so that I could avoid that issue

 So what's it look like ? A high-cap 9 mm ?

GA is much easier. If you do not have a CCW, you have to pay an extra $5.00 and they run a background check on you, usually by the end of the business day it will be completed and you can take the weapon home, barring any issues, of course.
If you have a CCW, you can buy the weapon and take it home with you as soon as the sale is completed.

It's the Ambi version of the CZ-75, comes with 2 16rd Mags and has optional 25rd Mags Available, I've been postponing getting a handgun for way too long

In so far as I've heard there's been good things said about the 'CZ' series, and I assume from the capacity it has to be a 9.

I have a Taurus clone of the Barretta in 9 mm, something that would be secondary to my 45 acp if I have a choise but I'm always on the look out for a respectable 9 mm combat round.

:tiphat:

yes, It's a 9mm, I was considering buying a .45, but decided to go for high capacity instead
